Leeuplaas is a Vaal Dam fishing spot in the eastern part of the dam. It’s a popular venue for clubs with many competitions being held there regularly because of the excellent fishing.
Finding any information on this venue is very difficult though. What we have gathered is that it doesn’t have much in terms of facilities. Definitely no electricity but there is one decent ablution.
- based on recent reports kiana (juana\pink sweets\musk) and almond was very popular
- strong garlic when it’s a bit colder
- and as usual perdeby (bunspice\cinnamon) also works well
- in terms of distance you don’t need to go too deep, ample fish being caught from 40-100m
